~ Reyn responds to Patreon gripes

(Santa Fe)~ A couple of weeks back I received gripes from a few disgruntled Patreon subscribers. These troubled souls, rich beyond belief, are obsessed with me simply because I’m eternal. It’s true, I do have a great publicist.

Nine of these Nouveau stooges bothered to use snail mail, I suppose thinking that it would impress me. I once commented in a TED Talk my belief that the US Postal Service conveyed communication with more etiquette than the virus and spam prone wondernet.

These stupid people! Hanging every belief in the words of a flippant cat.  I wrote that ten years ago (or was it something I blurted out on the Leno show?) No bother.

One of these neurotic fans used a variety of never-forever stamps. At first, I thought this loon was mocking me, but then I read the letter inside. It said that each stamp, even though canceled, was collectable, and extremely valuable. In fact, they were worth a bundle. How nice was that? The woman said to consider the stamps value a tribute to Isis. I thought “Okay, why not?” send her a thank you.

Another twenty or so messages were emailed or messaged directly to my CatLine. None of the concerns were really complaints, really, more to express concerns over rumors that Torncorners is looking for a hostile takeover of ReynPress, and ReynCo (my publishing, marketing and merchandising interests).

Understand, these concerns were voiced by very rich and influential people. Top investors and long-term golden subscribers of my ReynCo Patreon. Folks you would recognize were I to share their names. I can assure you, as I told them, that the rumors are false. I have much bigger plans for ReynCo.

I’ve turned the table on Torncorners. Wrestled their interests from the Bending Spoons Group as they were bent on acquiring and ruining Evernote. A lot to unpack there. The big news is that ReynCo has leveraged the situation into a friendly takeover of Torncorners.

Together, with combined resources, we can claim and deliver a much more aggressive product strategy to the market, have specific control of distribution, and secure the propriety and licensing of merchandise more directly. You know, all of that business and licensing sort of stuff.

Suzi and Gigi can wrestle with all that, while I should have more time for writing. And no more tiresome bothering from whiny rich Patreon subscribers! Yay!
